help with sorting out what to do

right i've been reading up on what i want to do in different areas when on holiday.

things i want to do are

1 staten island ferry

2 national history museume

3 radio city

4 empire state building

5 times square

6 statue of liberty and ellis island

7 The met

8 9/11

right i've searched different areas, and i've not enought days, i'm planning on staying for 7 nights, so 6 full days, walking isn't a problem i've done it in london and can walk all day long.

My areas are

1 Theatre district

times square

mtv stuidos


rockefella centee

diamond row

public library

parlimount buildiong

carnegie hall

2 lower midtown

chrysler building

grand central and 4 faced clock

First thing you are going to do is get a 7 day MetroCard and walk all over these neighborhoods when you arrive in them. You are not going to waste your energy walking to them (the card is good on buses too)

see 4th question on the right and ENJOY!

thanks i do understand that i'm not going to walk to them

and i do know i will walk around them............but

which of them can i clump together.............i've read about the different areas and what interests me............are there any 2 or 3 areas i can put together to save time walking.

Lenny, use Google Maps and plot everything on there an you will see the clumps yourself. You can create and save your own maps on Google so you can refer to them later. If you take a smart phone, you can even view your maps while visiting.

Once you have done this then you need to do some extra research about when things are/are not open which will further help you in establishing an itinerary.

It's not difficult but it does take some time. And given this is your trip you are best placed to do this as it will also give you a better feel of where places are located.

Lenny - I bought the Lonely Planet NYC city guide. The attractions,restaurants etc are grouped by neighbourhood which has really helped us plan our itinerary.

I second Mez3000's suggestion - Google Maps is a lifesaver for us in planning our itineraries.
