I paid a $500 deposit for a well known and very well rated GUEST HOUSE IN NY on trip advisor , and emails were plentiful when I was enquiring and booking. (It is for July)
However, now I have to cancel...I get no response at all, despite emailing daily re a refund.
Giving them the benifit of the doubt, thinking they had changed email addresses, closed for a week vacation etc etc ..etc...., I emailed from my partners email account with an enquiry for a booking later in year, and get a almost reply instantly!!! As it was in my partners name, they had no idea. In fact, as we are returning to NY 6 months after original booking, I was going to transfer the amount onto that...... now I feel pretty "ripped off"
Leave a very bitter taste in ones mouth doesn't it.
This would not happen with a large chain I bet.
