Take Air Train to Jamaica station. Then, take any Penn Station-bound LIRR from Jamaica station to Penn Station. Then, walk to that address.

The JFK AirTrain serves all terminals and it connects the terminals with the Long Island Rail Road at Jamaica. There are also subways at Jamaica.

The JFK AirTrain is well-marked and there are digital displays and audible announcements to inform you whether the train is an inter-terminal train (on the inside track) or a Howard Beach or Jamaica train (on the outside track). You do not want a Howard Beach train - you want a Jamaica train.

As you arrive in Jamaica you'll see the Long Island Rail Road trains from the AirTrain. You'll pay your $5.00 JFK AirTrain exit fare at Jamaica. You can purchase a combined JFK AirTrain / LIRR ticket or you can buy them separately. It doesn't make any difference.

The monitors will tell you what track and what time the next LIRR train departs for Penn Station. They're super frequent and very fast. The LIRR fare is $8.75 for trains arriving Penn Station between 5:00AM and 10:00AM (peak), $6.25 for trains arriving after 10:00AM (or before 5:00AM) on weekdays (off-peak) and $3.75 on weekends (CityTicket). Purchase your ticket before boarding and have your ticket ready for collection by the conductor.

Your hotel is between 7th and 8th Avenues and so is Penn Station. Coming in on the LIRR, there's a direct exit to 34th Street and 7th Avenue, so that's the best one to use. You'll cross 34th Street, walk up one short block to 35th Street, turn left, and your hotel will be on the right hand side of the street.

The exit mentioned by Auden is the escalator that is near the entrance of the 1/2/3 subway lines from the LIRR concourse. If you walk all the way down the LIRR concourse to its east end, you will have shops and newstands to your left, the LIRR ticket windows on your right, and the subway straight ahead. Just as you pass the last ticket window, and Tracks bar and the McDonalds immediately adjacent, look to your left. You will see a corridor that leads to the escalator in question. Take that upstairs, and you will be almost on the corner of Seventh and 34th. Cross 34th, but do not cross Seventh; walk on block to 35th, and turn left.
