Happy Thanksgiving

Dear TA Community. It is Thanksgiving in America, and I just wanted to wish everyone a great holiday. This is a time when families often get together, and mine is no exception. My sister and her brood are coming down from Boston. And cousins are coming from three blocks away.

It is also a time of feasting. Our menu is quite traditional and reads as follows:

Turkey - got a 15 pounder

Cranberry Sauce [homemade, not the nasty canned stuff]

Mashed Potatoes

Stuffing

Gravy and Caramelized Onions

Green Beans

Home made breads [zucchini, cranberry and banana]

Salad

Desert

Captain Lawrence Winter Ale

Here is hoping that everyone had a great Turkey Day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Mel! I have to get up to make the last of the pies, pack my knife roll and head to my father's to cook (squash soup, one roasted turkey, one smoked turkey, chestnut sausage stuffing, stuffed mushrooms, roasted squash, roasted Brussels sprouts, sautéed garlic spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, cranberry orange relish, bourbon cranberry sauce, two kinds of pie, bread pudding and baked apples).

Enjoy the day, everyone!

My job today is vacuum the house and football, while the rest of the family is cooking. Being cooking challenged and the only man in the house has its advantages.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hmm, maybe I'll get the young one to vacuum

Making my stomach growl... Kids are all back home and some "holiday orphans" as well... Found another sleeping on living room couch this morning! LOL... All good though. Made my cheesecake supreme and veggie casserole.. Time to get going and make my mashed potatoes. Then will pack it all up and head three miles to sister's house... Happy Thanksgiving everyone... We have so much to be grateful for this year!!! Be safe and happy travels.
