Penn Street - Which Exit

Updating original question of 6th February.

Green White Blue - You helped with my original query about which exit giving precise instructions. . Our hotel has now changed to the Helmsley Park Lane, 36 Central Park South. Is your instruction still the same as to which exit to use? Our train now arrives at 6.35pm so would imagine would be lookikng for a taxi around about 7.00pm once we sort luggage out. Any easier getting a taxi at this time of night? Thanks for your help.

It's Penn Station, not Penn Street. Exit on the 8th Avenue side of the station (at 33rd Street) since you'll be heading uptown. 8th Avenue is a one way street northbound, which is what you want.

Should be plenty of taxis around. There are escalators to street level at that exit.

There is a taxi line at the 8th avenue and 33rd. It should be easy to get a cab. Look for the cab line.
