New York City Brunch - Upper East Side or Midtown East

Greetings, hoping to get some advice regarding Brunch recommendations for a Sunday morning in June.

Group of 2 adults and a 17 year old, staying at the Waldorf Astoria. Hoping to find something in the general area as this will be our last day in the city and will need to be headed back to the airport by noon. We are considering Balthazar, but was hoping to find something similar closer to our hotel to minimize travel that morning. Would like something with a wide range of options, and would be great if there was a nice view or a setting close to Central Park as well.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Hola.

Much closer is one our favorite spots for brunch (or lunch) is the Morgan Museum restaurant on Madison Avenue just south of E.37th Street. You get to eat in the restored nineteenth-century Morgan family dining room. Also there is the café (under a glass atrium) which is also a great place for lunch. Both have very good food and we eat at both the café and dining room a few times a year as both are great places to meet-up with friends…..and afterward, wander through the museum.

For more information, see:

Hope this helps. Your questions are always welcome.

Abrazos,

Matt

Sunday brunch in most places in NYC STARTS at noon. What you really want is breakfast. The Smith midtown opens at 10 am on Sunday. Not sure if they serve the brunch or breakfast menu at that time.

We believe that Sunday brunch at the Morgan starts at 11 AM, and for more information see:

Two restaurants come to mind. Landmarc at the Time Warner Center or Robert at the Museum of Art and Design both on Columbus Circle. Landmarc offers an amazing breakfast/brunch menu and opens at 7:00 a.m. Robert opens at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and offers a excellent brunch menu. At either restaurant, request a table with a view when making the reservations. The view over Central Park and across Columbus Circle is lovely. Personally, I prefer the food at Landmarc but your 17 year old will be amazed by the decor (cool, modern and very NYC) and view at Robert.

Landmarc sounds like one of your best options. There's very little else that will have you served & back at your hotel ready to leave by noon

Are you in the city the day before, too? We do Saturday brunch here as well, same as Sunday, and then you have more time and many more choices.

The boathouse in CP opens at 9:30. Can't advise about wait time at that hour. Maybe somebody else has experience.

I always make reservations for brunch at Landmarc. It is pretty popular and fills quickly.
