ROUGH draft of trip plans.....

hi all here is our "rough" draft. please all suggestions/ recommendations welcomed :)

3 women , 30 years old, 2 first time NYC visitors. 4 days , 3 nights.....

Sunday : arrive at Tryp hotel 3pm , check in

check out the local area, head up to TOTR in the evening at sunset, take some pictures. Need a recommendation for a dinner/ drinks place with a great vibe.

Monday :

Morning: statue of liberty will be open again, do the boat ferry to see this.

Financial district, China town and brooklyn bridge. Lunch recommendations??

evening: see wicked. dinner before or after???

Tuesday: Morning, grab a coffee and head to central park. walk some of the park,

upper east side/ west side. must see up in this area?

we arent really interested in museums.

afternoon: open

tuesday night, good place for dinner. drinks, maybe meatpacking area.

wednesday : shopping on 5th ave

head to airport at 3pm

this is a very rough draft, need to fill in all the holes. We are open to taking the subway ,

What about Brooklyn?

What about Williamsburg? The Northside - some great outdoor cafes and wine bars. I love having dinner at Forcella's Williamsburg location on Lorimer Street. It is at 485 Lorimer Street - steps from the 2nd stop in Brooklyn on the very hip L train line. www.forcellaeatery.com/

I absolutely love cocktails in the back garden at Huckleberry - huckleberrybar.com/‎

The subways are extremely safe and very busy very late at night. Young people love Williamsburg. Don't spend your entire visit in the touristy areas - you won't get the full enjoyment of New York City.

The outdoor seating at Gigino Wagner Park is really beautiful. Great views of the Statue of Liberty and just a delightful outdoor setting. Easy to get to and very safe and easy to do with public transport. http://www.gigino-wagnerpark.com/

Do not spend the bulk of your trip in the touristy areas - you'll get nothing but mediocre food at unreasonably high prices and very rushed service.
