hotel recommendation for 3 adults in a room

we intend to visit NY later this year. As we will be 3 adults I prefer to hire a big suite or a big hotel room that can facilitate all of us.

Any recommendation for hotel or property name is greatly appreciated. Personally I like Greenwich and Meatpacking but any area in Manhattan would do fine , too.

thanks in advance

Do you need 3 different beds or can two share? Is a rollaway or sofa bed acceptable?

Also, please provide your exact dates and maximum nightly budget in USD to get the best response.

1 bed for 2 and another bed would do fine. Couch is less preferred... Budget s preferably below usd 400-500. Thx so much!

There are very few hotels in Greenwich Village period. The only ones that would have 2 double beds are

wshotel.com

W Union Square

Hyatt Union Square

but keep in mind double beds are not that large for 2 adults to share who are not a couple.

In the meatpacking district, only the Gansevoort has rooms with 2 double beds. Bottom line, most of the trendy hotels/areas only have rooms fitted for a couple with one bed and there aren't any suites that will give you more than a sofa or sofabed.

The Hotel Mulberry, the Best Western Bowery Hanbee, the Best Western Seaport and the Hampton Inn Seaport all have rooms with 2 queen beds and include breakfast in the room rate. They're not cool and trendy but all in good downtown locations not far from where you'll likely want to be. The Comfort Inn Chelsea is a basic budget hotel but is one with 3 single beds in some rooms.

There are a lot of suite hotels that would give you much more room (and maybe a kitchen) but they are mostly midtown (34-59 st.) or on the upper west side. The San Carlos, the Best Western Hospitality, the Kimberly and the Affinia hotels (there are about 5) are examples of these.

You could try Trump Soho. Soho Grand, TriBeCa Grand, or if these are too much (the rates jump with a second bed in NYC) then try HGI TriBeCa they have a 25% off deal through Trip Advisor
