Circle line or Water taxi...

Could people please tell which is best to do for first time visit to NYC, a Circle Line cruise or a Water taxi cruise.

Want to see Statue of Liberty and some other sights over a period of a few hours.

Thanks!

Hi. You'll basically get the same thing from both Circle Line and Water Taxi - the Circle Line boats are larger and I believe both offer narration. However, if you want something less crowded and don't care about having narration then I would go with a sail out of Chelsea Piers. It's more expensive, but a much nicer overall experience. They have sailboat tours and 20's era yacht tours. Both are very nice and highly rated: www.sail-nyc.com/yacht-manhattan-cruises (for the yacht tours .... there is one called Face to Face with Lady Liberty that you may enjoy) and www.sail-nyc.com/schooner-adirondack-sails (for sailboat tours) -- on this page just click on "browse by boat" to see the different tours. Have fun :-)

Sailboats are nice but offer very little cover.

If it's hot you will know it.

We took the Circle line around Manhattan.

You can be outside or go in the ac cabin.

Check group on or living social for discounts.

Discounts for sailboats and circle line may be available.
