Black Friday liquor sales?

Hi all,

I'm guessing this is a pretty dumb question and the answer is no - but with the black Friday sales do liquor stores have any big sales or is it more department stores to get rid of old stock for the Xmas season?

No, there are no sales on liquor. No, stores do not get rid of old stock. It's not that kind of sale.

Liquor sales are regulated by each of the 50 states, not by Federal law. So in many states, it is actually not possible to change the price of liquor in that way. New York State doesn't have such pricing rules. It is in fact unusual to have seasonal sales on bottled alcohol. However, wine stores have specials on "Thanksgiving Holiday" family dining accompaniments. But it is related to seasonal volume and regular retail competitiveness. Maybe you should look into bar "happy hours".

Nope. If you will be in Manhattan, try Watehouse Wines on Broadway off of 8th Street. They have pretty good prices.
