First of all I'd like to say thanks for all the great advice I've read on this forum over the last few months!
The only trouble is trying to get my family on board I think they think I'm crazy!
I'm traveling with family (sister, mum & gran) who despite my efforts won't comit to an itinerary or belive me when I say things like I read we're best to attempt to use the subway as hop on/off busses are cold & not good for transport......their not convinced (they think it will be better mobility wise for gran)
Anyway I have devised a loose itinerary any help appreciated.....
Arrive Mon 13th Jan staying at Milford for 4 nights
Arrive aprox 6pm - dump our bags & head over to times square to see it lit up & have dinner
Tue - Jersey Gardens Outlet, I know from previous advice not always recommend but we definitely want to do this & I have reseached TA for all bus details etc. So arrive there for shops opening 10am return on bus around 3pm to miss heavy traffic?
Evening dinner & possibly empire state building
Wed - Bryant park ice skating , 5th Ave, TOTR & Central park..... too much?
Thu - Staue of liberty by boat either on free ferry or circle line boat tour, 9/11 memorial & Chelsea market
We would like to see a show either Wed or Thu I have downloaded TKTS & Today Tix app was thinking if using TKTS to go Thu & go to South Street Sea Port booth as quieter
For breakfast we're quite happy to try anywhere (cheap) & try pizza slices etc for lunch. Recommendations for dinner would be appreciated nothing too fancy $20-30 for main meal. Although one of our party is celiac so I have few places Nizza, Ruby Foo, Kyoto Fu & Heartland brewery midtown in mind who have gulten free options.
Thanks in advance!
