Fun poll...Best place to eat pre/post Book of Mormon & why?

Hello...

Going to The Book of Mormon in March and looking for a pre or post meal/cocktail. Any cool ideas that suit the experience?

Thanks

I vote for bringing Carnegie deli takeout

to the Mormon church by Columbus circle.

Pre show drink/snacks - Bar Centrale, Lantern's Keep or Rum House

Dinner after the show - anywhere outside of the theater district

Blue Ribbon Brasserie

Blue Smoke

Ippudo

Danji (almost close enough to be considered Time Square/Theater District)

Pylos

Haven't been yet but we are seeing it in Feb and going to Caselulla afterwards.

Discovered it on a TV show here in Australia and then was very glad to see that Ziggy listed it in his Hell's Kitchen recommendations - www.eatingwithziggy.com

You have a lot of interesting options. Including a plethora of touristy places specializing in pre theater dining in the area but for the most part i rather go elsewhere even if it means a 10 min walk or short cab ride.

Toloache - Mexican. Very close

Don Antonio - great Neapolitan pizza. Very close

Chez Napolean - very old classic French

Ippudo - I like this one a lot. Ramen. May have a wait so come early and have a backup plan

Danji - Korean tapas. Earned a Michelin star right after they opened. Great wings

Pure Thai - far from fancy but fantastic authentic Thai. This is my personal favorite but not for everyone. Make sure you look at pictures before committing. Another words, jackets are not required

Gazala's Place - Druze/middle eastern, tiny, only employs Russian waitresses which could be a bonus, or not

Taboon - Israeli/Mediterranean. Haven't been in a few years but that will change next month as I'm bringing a group of hard to please foodies

Il Melograno. Closest decent Italian.

For higher end dining the good ones are just outside of the area: Lincoln, Marea, Betony, Ma Peche, NoMad, Sessonal, The Modern just to name a few. Can't got wrong with any of these

Here's another fun option: Gotham West Market. Like a mini Chelsea Market without the tourists.

When I did the lottery I had my wait for the results drink at E & E's grill house across the street. Might have gone there for an early dinner had I known the results earlier. Instead we went to Kodama Sushi on 45th across from Kinky Boots. It is a good local Japanese restaurant.

+1 for Marea, anytime, after anything. That place is awesome. I sat at the very worst table in the place & I still loved it.

But I really like Ziggy's first suggestion of the takeout by the Mormon church. Doesn't even have to be Carnegie Deli -- any takeout would do at this very a propos spot. Hit up an food cart on your way and enjoy!

Listen to Ziggy! You won't go wrong with any of his recommendactions. I can second many of his suggestions. Thai, ramen, bourecka, the world is your oyster in Hells Kitchen.
