Getting from JFK to 9 West 31st street NYC

A couple of oldies (in age not spirit) We will have just flown 23 hours (I think that is the flight time) going to be disorientated and need a hassle free way to get from JFK airpot to 9 West 31st street. Any suggestions and estimated costs?

I think you must not realize vacation apt. rentals for less than 30 days are illegal. Here's the link from the FAQ on the right side of the page, right under the instructions on getting to Manhattan from the airport.

tripadvisor.com/Travel-g60763-c147344/New-Yo…

Are you here for 30 days or longer?

The easiest way to get into Manhattan is by taxi. Better than a taxi (likely less expensive) from Newark is using a car service like

Dial7.com

who will ask you to phone them when you're ready to leave the airport and will tell you where to meet the driver. ~$75 including tolls and a tip for the driver.. You can also pay extra for meet and great where the deiver comes inside and waits for you with a sign with your name.

Maps.google.com

Will give you instructions for taking the train $12.50/person

Let us get something straight - this is NOT a vacation apartment, we are visiting a friend!

If you're visiting friends wouldn't they know the best way to get to their apartment?

A taxi will be easy and hassle-free. The price is a set rate to anywhere in Manhattan, and amounts to around ~$70 after adding tolls and tip. Just go to the official taxi stand outside your terminal. Ignore anyone who approaches you offering a taxi service.
