Restaurant week lunch?

It is now Restaurant Week (since last week). What places on the list are special deals for a nice lunch?

On that list, my favorite for a special lunch would be Cafe Boulud!

I didn't see a lot of menus that scream to me. For the most part it's an entree, an app a little bigger than an amuse bouche and dessert, as was the case at Boulud Sud today.

The one big exception is the Dutch which looks like a very good deal unless I'm missing something (like smaller portions). Great fried chicken.

I would also consider Maialino and Lincoln in that order.

Had a nice RW lunch at Molyvos yesterday. Good traditional Greek food, upscale version. Se4rvice was excellent and professional. Go if you can. One more week in RW.

Speaking of Bann...

Interesting story. Bann is a Korean restaurant with a more modern twist - not exactly authentic Korean, but overall pretty good. The executive chef is Honduran born Eleazar Martinez. When he emigrated to the US, he found himself in LA and unable to find a job. He subsequently became a busboy at Woo Lae Oak, a Korean restaurant. Anyway, he worked hard, and eventually worked his way onto the line. Subsequently, the owner sent him to cooking school, to NYC, to Seoul, to refine and learn his craft. Now he's part owner of Bann along with the former Woo Lae Oak owner.
