    Parking in Midtown east

    I will be visiting NY for the first time in midtown east at the end of april (corner Lexington and 49th).

    I will be coming by car and I would like to know my best option for parking. I would really like something cheap, or even free. I' pretty sure parking in the streets in that neighborhood is impossible.

    I was wondering if I could go park my car in Upper East side for example, and leave it there for the 4 days (if I'm luck). If I have to move it once I don't mind either. I would rather lose time commuting to the hotel from UES than pay 150$ for parking!

    Doas it sound reasonable?

    .. someone here mentioned streets aren't cleaned on Wednesdays?!! Thought that was strange.. nonetheless, sounds like a VERY clean block;-)) Enjoyin'!
