Tax in New York

I have seen a few things I want to buy in Bloomingdales when I go to New York later this year. When I go to pay at the till will tax be added to the price and how much?

Thanks

Items that cost $110 or less (individually) will have no tax. Items over that amount will have a bit over 8% added at the register (we don't use the word til here much ;)

You pay the tax when you go to the cashier to pay for the bag before you can take it out of the store.

As long as it is less than £390 you can bring it back to the UK without incurring extra tax

As long as the total of ALL your purchases is £390 you dont pay tax in the UK. You dont ever pay tax at the airport here for purchases (other than things you buy there).

Tax questions aside ... please remember there is no guarantee that what you see on the Bloomingdale' s website today will be in the store when you arrive in a few months. The way you mention the exact price makes me think you have a specific item in mind.
