It used to be the Eastgate Tower hotel (run by Affinia), Sue. It's been closed for renovation for some time. So if they haven't changed the c of o, it may be legal for nightly stays. We know the room sizes are large unless they reconfigured walls.

It does indeed seem to be continuing as a short term apartment rental. Nice addition to the apartment hotels. Higher end than Eastgate now for sure.

Thanks for posting about this. I stayed there when it was Eastgate Towers and liked it. Was disappointed to hear that it had disappeared from the hotel lists but glad to hear its a valid option for our next visit.

Eastgate fan here ... Location is good but in the past some people complained that after a long day if site-seeing it was a bit of a walk from the subway ...

But if they have not reconfigured the rooms ... They are a good size. Lots of food options around and inho .. not too far of a walk from Grand Central where several subway lines are available.
