options for not caring around luggageonce hotel stay is over

My hotel has a 12noon departure and it cost extra if you want a later departure. My question is are their any places to store my luggage for the day so I can explore more then head for my flight at newark airport?

The vast majority of hotels will store you luggage for you. Usually for free and you just tip the person. Yes, that means you will have to go back to your hotel to get it before going to the airport so plan accordingly.

Others will tell you of luggage storage places around the city where you have to pay.

Personally, I just leave the luggage with the hotel.

As others have said, the hotel will usually store it for you for a few hours, just make sure you tip!

Schwartz Travel has two locations, there is of course a fee. http://schwartztravel.com/ If you are taking NJ transit to Newark, the one near Penn Station might suit, if it is closer to the train than your hotel.

David O: If you'll be leaving by Amtrak you can store your luggage (for a small fee) at Amtrak baggage claim at Penn Station. You'd just pick it up before you got on the train. Be prepared to show your Amtrak ticket.
