Hotel to JFK airport on New Year's Day...

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help:-

We will be leaving New York on New Year's Day 2015 and wondered if we will struggle to get a taxi to get us to the airport (JFK)?

Should we book a private car?

Thanks

Hey Laura2487:-) Cabs are pretty consistent.. 24X7.. more difficult to get if it's raining/snowing.. can be a shortage during shift change around 4-5p.. not to mention rush hours, etc.. so to be on the safe side and make sure you have a ride when you need one, don't see a reason not to book a car service;-) Take a look at www.dial7.com/ www.carmellimo.com/ Both as popular as they come having been around for decades:-) Best.. and EnJOY!

Thank you Litsa.

I will have a look into the links you've given for a car service and book one for our journey back to the airport to be on the safe side :-)

You could take the subway to Jamaica (via the E train) or Howard Beach (via the A train) and get the Airport Airtrain to your terminal. Total cost; $7.50 per person, about 4.50 quid.
