Nightlife in NYC for mid20y.o. couples

Planning a trip to NYC next week (Wed-Sun). We would like to experience NYC's nightlife. Do you have recommendations for any rooftop bars or dance clubs? We're not really picky with our music selection...we enjoy Top 40's, R&B/Hip Hop, as well as Classic Rock.

Are any of these pub crawls worth it?? They seem like a good deal for the price.

Please help!

The best areas for going out for people your age are probably Williamsburg Brooklyn, East Village/Alphabet City, Lower East Side, West Village and Hells Kitchen. Also, if you are looking for really trendy clubs, the Meatpacking district and W28th street between 10th and 11th ave are where the majority of dance clubs/bottle service places are. I'm not really into that scene, so I'm not even going to try to recommend places like that. Plus, if you're not single and on the hunt, there's no point wasting your money on $20 drinks at these places.

A few of my favorite bars are:

-Vol de Nuit - super chill bar in the West Village specializing in Belgian beers. They have a nice garden too.

-PDT - East village "secret" cocktail lounge. Reservations are required. You enter through a secret entrance in the phone booth of the hot dog restaurant next door.

-Spitzer's Corner - Gastropub with big beer selection and great food.

-Standard Beer Garden - Cool place for 20 somethings without being too pretentious. One of my favorite places from when I used to live nearby.

-Mayahuel - Mexican gastropub specializing in tequila cocktails.

-Apotheke - Unmarked cocktail bar in an alley in Chinatown. Some of the most interesting drinks in the city.

-The Other room - West Village wine bar. Nice for a relaxing drink.

-Jane hotel - Can be tough to get in but a really cool scene.

-Berry Park - Rooftop in Williamsburg

-Spritzenhaus - Beer garden in Williamsburg

-Barcade - Hipster bar with old video games in Williamsburg

-DBA - Relaxed East village bar with big whiskey and beer selection.

-Rose Bar -Another really trendy spot, great for chilling but expensive and hard to get in unless you go early.

-Tortilla Flats - Fun and relaxed West village Mexican dive bar. There is literally always a bachelorette party here taking tequila shots on weekends.

-The Continental - East village dive. It actually is not very pleasant but you can get 5 shots of anything for $10 so good place to start a rowdy night.

-McSorely's Old Ale House - Also a terrible dive, but worth seeing and always fun. One of the oldest bars in NYC, open since before the Civil War.

If you want rooftop bars here are couple of lists. Keep in mind that you are definitely going to pay a premium for rooftop spaces, especially trendy ones like Gansevoort Hotel or 230 Fifth (think $12-16 for a bottle of beer, more for drinks).
