Where is the actual "little rock"?

Does anyone know where the actual "little rock" is in Little Rock. Is it still there? How little is it?

Little Rock, located in central Arkansas, is the state's capital and largest city. The name is derived from La Petite Roche (the "little rock" in French), a small rock formation on the south bank of the Arkansas River that served as a navigational landmark by early river travelers. The rock formation can still be seen at Riverfront Park in downtown Little Rock. The formation was first noted and named by the French explorer, Bernard de la Harpe, in 1722.

The "Little Rock" is located at the foot of Rock Street, in the River Market District, midway between the Main Street and Interstate 30 bridges. Unfortunately a railroad bridge, across the Arkansas River, was built using the rock formation as its southern base. Before it was desecrated it was much larger than the remnant you see today.

The "little rock" that the city is named for marked a good place to tie up a boat while traveling on the Arkansas River. "Big rock" is upstream [west] and on the opposite bank [north]. Travelers coming down the river used big rock [impossible to miss] as a signpost that you were approaching little rock. Big rock was quarried for years, but is still big! The bottom is accessible via River Road and the new bike/hike trail. The top is accessible via Emerald Park. The North Little Rock campus of the VA's Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is also on top of big rock, and is a former Army post [established 1896]. It was placed there because the location has a commanding view of the river.
