Beans Point?

How do you get there ? We're staying in Bradenton. I want to fish and my wife wants to lay out on the beaches. Keep hearing good things. Other beaches?

If you are staying in the town of Bradenton, take either Manatee Ave. or Cortez Rd. west to the beach. Bean point is at the far north (right turn) end of the island. There is very limited parking in this area. Best bet is either of the public beaches--at the Western end of Manatee Ave. or take Cortez and head south (left turn) for about a mile. Both areas have a lot of parking. With the fishing, there are piers at Bridge Street (south of Cortez) and City Island pier and Rod n Reel on the northern end. You can also fish off the beach. Fishing license required.
