We stayed in Useppa Drive a couple of years ago for a week. There are plenty places to eat nearby. It's a residential area with a mix of permanent residents and visitors but more of the former, I would think. We used it for a base and it was fine. The home we stayed in was not the newest or best kept but it was fair value for what we paid.

I like Bradenton and Sarasota and would definitely return to the area.

Sorry not a golfer.

There are plenty of golf courses around. If you google golf Bradenton Sarasota area it should bring up the courses. Some of the private courses might also be open in August. Warning, it is really hot them, so plan for tee times closer to opening.

It is easy to get to most places from there. Plenty of places to eat closer to the interstate, and south to Sarasota. The beach will be minimum 30 minutes, probably 45.
