Will the snow melt before we get there?

We are coming 2/17, will there still be snow. WE are staying in June Lake

No the snow will not melt in 1 week. The snow is quite deep and typically Mammoth is the last place in CA you can ski in any given year.

I can't tell if you were joking in your post but there are 9-12 feet of snow at Mammoth. If that volume of snow melted in 1 week there would be tremendous repercussions. Here's a link to the snow status at Mammoth. Click on detailed snow report in the box on the right side.

It's not uncommon for Mammoth Mountain to stay open late in the season, sometimes till July 4!
