Ok, so I am looking for some expert advice here on the historical sites. I have not been to see them recently so I was wondering if you could give me some tips on what to include/exclude.
We are going with my family and my grandfather (who is capable of getting around with no prob) on saturday, 4/7. My grandfather is really into history so we wanted to go and check out all of the great historical sites of philly with him, while grabbing lunch (actually his X-mas gift).
1.We are planning on doing lunch at either Mcgillan's or the City Tavern (keeping with the historical theme). I have never been to City Tavern, but really like McG. Any advice on City Tavern?
2. I am sort of charting the course here and was planning on hitting up these sites: Independance Hall Tour (have a reserv for 3:15), Liberty Bell, Elfreth's Alley, Betsy Ross House, and possibly the constitution center.
Is there anything in that area that would be really interesting that I am missing? Any other suggestions? Thanks for any help!
