The Franklin Institute is within Center City (South Street to Vine Street, Delaware River to Schuylkill River). Where in Center City will you be?

The best way is to walk, depending on where you will be starting and the day's weather.

If you get off the train at Suburban Station (between 16th and 17th, JFK and Arch) you will be a short walk to the Franklin Institute (20th and Race).

If the weather is nice, go out the 29th Street side (where the cabs are, just ask anyone in the station) of 30th Street Station. You will see some construction- the long, straight road is JFK Boulevard. Walk down JFK Boulevard to 20th Street (it's about 4 blocks, not 10 like it sounds). Turn left on 20th Street, and the Franklin Institute is about 2 blocks on your left.

If the weather is not nice, take a cab.
