Suggestions for early Dec trip - Christmasy/Holiday things?

We'd like to make a visit to Philly in early December and would like to experience some Christmas and Holiday type things.

Is the city decorated? Where are the most Christmas/holiday type decorations? Does the city have any classic holiday experiences, not to be missed? Are there any stores that go over-the-top with their decorations?

Thanks!

I would put two attractions at the top of the list: the Christmas Light Show and Dickens Village at Macy's http://www.wanamakerorgan.com/xmas.php and the video wall at the Comcast Center visitphilly.com/museums-attractions/…

It's a drive, but the xmas light display at Hershey followed by a visit to the park at night is an option.
