leaving New Brunswick and want to get to the Visitors center area of Philadelphia by train or subway?

the train will take you into 30th Street station in Philadelphia. From there you can take a taxi to the historic area. Public transit is also available. See www.septa.org

According to New Jersey Transit's Web site, the NJT Northeast Corridor train line goes from New Brunswick to Trenton. From Trenton, you can take SEPTA Regional Rail (the Trenton line) to Center City Philadelphia. Market East is the closest station to the Independence Visitor Center; it's within walking distance.

You would take nj transit to Trenton and then SEPTA to Market East. If you hit Septa on the machine at new Brunswick it will sell you both tickets. Also make sure you get on the trenton tran and not a Jersey Ave train. Here are a few links
