The loews botel is located near the convention center. Reviews at this link. tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60795-d112132-…
My thoughts are this is a much better choice than your original plan of using airbnbEdited: 16 February 2014, 13:41
The Loews is in a central location that's very close to multiple public transportation options for getting around. That area of Center City doesn't have a lot of charm, but it's extremely convenient.
I agree with Lauren1217. The Loews would work, but there are many better options in Center City. Can you tell us your budget and desired amenities?Edited: 17 February 2014, 03:12
Thank you. About $130 USD per day. Desired amenities would be air conditioning, private bathroom including shower and toilet, and Queen size bed, in an area which is safe and appropriate for tourists. Thanks in advance.
That describes just about every hotel in downtown Philadelphia, except possibly the rate in July. If you are coming the first week in July, rates will be very high due to Independence Day activities,
Where are your itinerary plans? Where will you spend most of your time?Edited: 17 February 2014, 03:47
Surprisingly, rates are not all high around the 4th of July.
Welcome America acts have not all been announced yet. Thats when the rates usually jump.
It will jump up for some hotels but not others. In past years, proximity to certain events made a huge difference. On 4th of July evening you could get a good rate in Old City but not by the parkway where the concert fireworks are held. Vice versa for the Saturday night fireworks at Penns Landing.
