Taxi would be the quickest. You could also take the Plash tourist bus, although a transfer is required to get to the zoo. visitphilly.com/tours/philadelphia/phlash/

As noted, best way is Taxi. Phlash shuttle is probably second.

If you do take a taxi, for the trip back you can stop in the Shelley Admin building across from the flamingoes and they will call one for you (or you can call from your cell at the main entrance).

Do not do the subway/route 15 option. It puts you in some sketchy neighborhoods. The route 38 bus from 17th & JFK Blvd will take you directly to the zoo and may be faster.

While you can take the 38 bus (closest stop near your hotel is at 17th & JFK Sts) it will take about 1/2 hour total time to get there & unfortunately it doesn't run that frequently. The taxi will take about 10 minutes & with tip should cost $14-15
