This family of four are VERY excited about coming to Gettysburg for the 150th anniversary. We are from Illinois making the long drive to Pennsylvania. My husband and I visited as a second honeymoon two years ago and fell in love with the place. We are thrilled to brings our boys back and do it again!

In planning for the week, I was wondering where would be a good place for firework watching? We are staying at the Quality Inn at General Lee's Headquarters. Thanks for any info!

1. Re: Fireworks?.

Fireworks are July 3, 10pm this year and have moved to the college campus.

From the website: Fireworks are being planned for 10:00pm in the vicinity of Mummasburg Road north of Gettysburg and will be visible from throughout the Borough including the Peace Light area. Public parking is limited on the Gettysburg College campus. Fireworks are sponsored by the Gettysburg Convention & Visitors Bureau.
