Things to do March 14-16, 2014

I am looking for things to do on the weekend of March 14-16, 2014 for four adults in Gettysburg. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Drinks and apps at ORourkes maybe they will even have live music one night. Food is hit or miss but a cool local place for adults.

Same with the Blue and Grey. They are right on the square and have big TVs. GREAT burgers. They also sometimes have music but neither place is a place for dancing. If thats your thing.

For daytime plan to hire a guide to tour the battlefield. You can split the cost...totally worth it if you care about that stuff.

If you give some more info I can probably help you better.

Wine tasting, either at their downtown location or at the vineyard. Hauser, Reid's or Adams County winery are all good options. Battlefield Brew Works is a great new brewery that recently opened and offer a wide variety of locally made beer and interesting sausage/BBQ dishes. Sharpshooters has great wings and an excellent beer/drink selection.

You can tour the battlefield via horseback which is an interesting and authentic way to see the area. Segway tours are also fun to do. Whatever you do, since March is when Gettysburg starts getting visitors again, check in advance to make sure what you want to do is open.

Gettysburg History Museum was featured on American Pickers and is a FREE museum with an awesome selection of artifacts- not just from the Civil War either. They had a lot of really interesting Kennedy and WWII artifacts. Definitely worth an hour or two.
