Astoria: dock or tender

We are taking a Pacific Coastal cruise and have a day in Astoria. (Love it!) Will we dock or is it a tender port for us? It looks like there are two ships that day, and our ship has "Face 1." I am hoping we have the dock, so rough seas/weather won't be a problem.

Also note that Astoria is on the Columbia River, not the ocean. Depending on tides and weather, the mouth of the Columbia can be quite rough, but the river will be much calmer. Cruise ships usually carefully time their arrivals to coincide with tidal conditions.

We took a riverboat tour that stopped in Astoria and docked. No reason to anchor out and use tenders there.

Thanks for all your answers. I had heard it was a tender port and was afraid we could miss it. When I looked into it further, it looked like there's a dock. That's good news, as we were in Astoria a couple of years ago and loved it. We can't wait to be there again!
