Good Restaurants Inner Harbor

Hi everyone. My bf and I will be traveling to Baltimore for a weekend in July and we were wondering what restaurants are good in the Inner Harbor area. We were interested in maybe going to a seafood place. We want to go somewhere nice, but nothing too extravagant. Also, could anyone advise us as to what the parking situation in the city is? Thanks!

Hi,

First of all, save yourself a lot of time and aggravation looking for parking on the street and park in one of the garages. It will cost you $10- $15 but a ticket for parking illegally would cost a whole lot more.

Restaurants:

Phillips Flagship has an all-you-can-eat seafood buffett for $24 a person. It is well worth the price. There is always a wait so put your name on the list and then walk around the harbour for a bit. The dress is very casual and laidback. Watch out for the beverages, they are not included in the price and they charge you for each drink.

McCormick and Schmicks is more upscale. They take reservations and you might not want to walk in wearing flip-flops and bermuda shorts, but you don't have to wear a tie either. They print their menus daily because the seafood is flown in fresh. Entrees will run you from $9 - $35 but it is a wonderful restaurant with good service and magnificent views. They also have parking right next door and even have a valet if you desire.

Enjoy!

Parking as stated above is plentiful, but as recommended the garages are best. Beware of the closing times of the garages though, some close at 11-12 midnight.

As for food, the Inner Harbor is wrought with tourist attractions that all have decent food. Legal Seafood is a good choice in addition to those mentioned before by xzanya. You can always take a water taxi into Federal Hill, Fells Point, or Canton. These are all small little sub-neighborhoods in Baltimore that are filled with quaint little eateries, shops, and historical sights.

Have a great time on your trip. Baltimore is a fun city

Hey,

I'd check out Mccormick & Schmicks for seafood. It's a great place.

As far as parking, mostly everything is a $5 cab ride, just leave your car at the hotel and either walk or cab it.

Lastly, if you have a chance, go up Charles Street to a resturant called Sotta Sopra. www.sottosoprainc.com

They have Italian Food, if you like that type of food, it's the place to be.
