OK....here goes. go out the front entrance of the DeSoto and turn left. You are on Liberty Street, and a few blocks walk due west will take you to the Visitor's Center. Catch a Tour Bus and take a ride around the Historic District. Catch a tour that goes down River Street. Keep your eyes open for places that look interesting.

I am sorry, I can't help you about the bars. I just know that they are there!

The river boat cruises are blue hair, Try a dolphin cruise, out toward the ocean.

Lots of good bars on River Street, Congress Street, in City Market and at Bull and Broughton street. Walk around, you will find a place to rest and whet your whistle.

As you'll see on your bus tour, there are many beautiful old

homes, buildings, churches, etc. Savannah is known for its

beautiful squares. After your bus tour, get out and walk-- see

some of this wonderful history up close.

Be sure and eat at Mrs. Wilkes for traditional and delicious

Southern food - located at 107 W. Jones St., open for lunch only

11am - 2pm. Lots of great seafood all over Savannah.

Be sure and walk on River St. and in City Market - lots of nice

shops, restaurants, etc.

If your into tours, check the Visitor Center - lots available.

Have a great time in Savannah!

I just happened to think!! (amazing endeavor) and there may be a tour bus or trolley that stops at the Desoto. Ask at the desk as it could save you a little walking.
