Coming to Savannah with elderly mother in a wheelchair

Any suggestions for wheelchair friendly sights that we shouldn't miss. Trip planned for November 19 x 2 nights. Staying downtown.

The entire Historic District is becoming wheelchair-friendly, and I've heard it was due to a whopping lawsuit. About d--- time, it was an embarrassment.

Years ago, I challenged a member of the mayor's inner circle to ride from City Hall to Liberty Street in a motorized wheelchair, and he declined. He probably would have been killed if he had tried.

So pretty much anywhere in the HD will be fine to take your mother.
