is savannah a nice stopover coming from orlando to NJ

We are looking for a nice stopover coming from Orlando to go back to NJ. I have 3 kids ages 5 7 and 17. Is there anything of interest to do here. Im not much into historic or museum type places or are there any nice hotels which my kids would like with a nice pool. We have also been to Myrtle Beach but looking for a new town. Are there any other towns you would recommend? thanks

Absolutely! Even if you're not interested in the history, Savannah is a beautiful city. Perhaps you could stay at the Westin, which has a great pool and view of the river.

According to yesterday's paper, the Prime Minister of Belize is about to get married here.

If its good enough for him, its good enough for you!

When are you traveling ? Savannah and Hilton Head are both nice, but if you are traveling in the next few weeks you will want to book a place that has an indoor pool.

Savannah is a great place to stop over from Orlando. It is only a few hours away and it has a very inviting, old world feel. It has beautiful streets and people.

There is plenty to do in the area, just search the things to do tab -- your kids would probably really enjoy a guided kayak tour. I would have suggested Myrtle Beach but since you are going to orlando, you should have your fill of amusement parks. It might be a bit cooler at some of the outer banks beaches of NC, it can get pretty hot in south ga in august.
