What is a favorite BBQ restaurant in the Historic District?
Angel's inside of the historic district. It's hard to find so you need to make sure you have walking directions before you go. It mostly take out as they have very little seating. If you drive out to Wormsloe Plantation, I like Sandfly BBQ. Wiley's is another popular one if you have a car. You can google all these or find them on this website. Angel's has been featured on the travel channel.
I second Angel's. Delicious food and Mom and Pop (aka Aileen and Andy), are always there and will take great care of you.
A third for Angel's. At the southwest corner of Oglethorpe and Bull is the Independent Presbyterian Church. You may recognize it from the opening scene in Forrest Gump where the feather is floating down. If you go south on Bull there will be an alley between the church buildings. Angel's is in this alley.
Sounds great! Thanks everyone for your posts!
