What to do with a 10 y.o in July?

Hi. Considering spending 1 - 2 nights in Savannah in mid-July with hubby and 10 y.o. daughter and was wondering what is fun to do with a child in the heat of the summer? One night may be sufficient but would enjoy "hanging out" if the heat/humidity don't do us in...thanks!

City Market, River Street, Forsyth park, all a fun wander even for a kid. There is always somewhere to pop in and cool off for a few minutes now and then.

Also, there is always the beach a pretty 30 minutes from downtown.

Forsyth Park has a splash pad to cool off. Leopald's Ice Cream is a local favorite. Drop into St. John the Baptist Cathedral (beautifual and air conditioned). The heat can be stifling in mid July, so ensure you have plenty of water.
