One day - staying at Springhill Suites - Historic District

Any suggestions on what we should do for one day? Any attractions or restaurants that we could walk to? How far are we from River Street?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for that suggestion JAtlanta. I have done that but I do not see very much recent information on attractions near the Springhill Suites.

I will work with the hotel staff when I arrive to get their suggestions.

You are across the street (and down the hill) from River Street. SS is a great location and just about everything you'd want to see in Savannah is within a few blocks.

The entire Historic District is THE attraction. That includes it's shops, restaurants, buildings, museums, art galleries, houses, parks, etc.

I agree with Bruce, either walk to the vistors center first or stop on your way in. You can print out a nice map from Oglethorpe Tours web site that will give you an idea of how the streets and squares are and where the attractions relate to where you're staying.

Springhill Suites is located at 150 Montgomery Street.
