Day Trip

Planning a day trip from Amelia Island in June. What would be the best tour to take to really see the city?

Any recommendations for restaurants that are not to be missed while touring? It is our first trip to the city with my daughters, so some teen shopping areas would also be great!

Any of the trolley tours would be good. You could take the 90 minute Oglethorpe tour and then have the rest of the day to do what you would like to do. If you'd prefer a walking tour, then I'd suggest Explore Savannah, Savannah Architecture Tours or Savannah Rambles. Savannah Dan's is also an option. You can read reviews on all of these tours on this website.

There's all kinds of shops on Broughton and I'm sure some of them the teens would like and some you would like. There's not very many chain stores on Broughton so if you're looking for chain stores, you would have to go to the mall.

For food, since you're going with your daughers, you might enjoy The Gryphon Tea Room or The Olde Pink House. If you're looking for something more casual, then check out Zunzi's Take Out for picnic lunch in once of the squares. Mrs. Wilkes might be an option if you open to good Southern style home cooking.
