If you want a room with a kitchen, book the Staybridge Suites on Bay.

There's nothing wrong with the Residence Inn but the location. It's on what I the call the edge of the Historic District. If the rates are the same or close to it, I'd recommend HI Express or has onemore said if you need a kitchen, Staybridge is a great choice or look at some of the rental properties if you need more of a condo type place to stay.

Where the Railroad Museum and Battlefield Park are at, that's where the Residence Inn is located.

I've never heard complaints about the rooms or service. Once inside, its quiet. Not the best location.

Problem is, if you want the type of accommodations it offers, larger rooms, kitchenettes, two bedroom suites, etc., the only other way to get that in the Historic District is to to a home/condo vacation rental.
