Northern lights

I would like to know if it is possible to see the northern lights in Fairbanks during December and what is the best place in Alaska to see them at their best performance.

Yes it is possible, if the sky is clear and they are active you can view them. There really is no best place you just need to be in the right place at the right time. Check out the "Viewing the Aurora Borealis" link under Top Questions over to the right. Here is a link if you are using the mobile site:

You can also type Fairbanks & Aurora in the search box and get some good answers.
