Best pizza to go near Belt Pkwy

We will be travelling on the Belt coming from Pennsylvania and on route to East Meadow Long Island. We would like to bring some pizza to Mom's with us and wondered if anyone had a recommendation that would not be too long of a detour from our route. We are not familiar with Brooklyn other than we recognize the Coney Island parachute jump as we pass by on our way to Mom's. Any ideas? Thanks.

Here's the thing, the pizza will be cold by the time you get to East Meadow. Even if you buy it at the last possible place in Brooklyn, you're still half an hour away. Reheated pizza is never the same as freshly cooked. Might you consider something that will travel better: deli sandwiches, maybe?

If you REALLY want to do this anyway, I'd get off at what I think is the Cropsey Avenue exit and go to Totonno's in Coney Island. Head south on Cropsey and turn left on Neptune.

My suggestion is L & B Spumoni Gardens. You can get off the Belt Parkway at Exit 5 (Bay Parkway). It's about five minutes from the exit. It's the best sicilian square pizza in Brooklyn. Plus they have 1/2 tray (12 squares) $20 and full trays (24 squares) $38 ready at the window, so you wait time will be minimal. Plus it also tastes good cold!

Cold pizza is no good. Microwaved or re-heated pizza is also no good.
