Roaring Fork

Is the traffic bad in this area in June? Does anyone know where you could fish or go horseback riding close by?

Do you mean the Roaring Fork Drive?

It will have a good amount of traffic on the weekends but you have to go slow threw it anyway. It is beautiful. You can go early in the morning before traffic is to bad.

Lots of fish in Roaring Fork Creek. Make sure and read the rules.

You will need a Tennessee fishing license to fish in the rivers, but you can easily get one at Bass Pro Shop or even Wal-Mart, I think.

There's a horse stable not to far from Gatlinburg inside the national park called the Sugarlands Riding Stables. There's also one in Cades Cove.

Dogwoodgal,

We were up there last June and did Roaring Fork. We did it late morning, it wasnt bad, an average amount of traffic, but you are going slowly anyway. It was absolutely beautiful.

Have fun !!!!
