Great smokey Mtn National Park--Greenbriar

We rode through Greenbriar today and saw no wildlife, has anyone seen any deer or bear there?

Hiked Porter's Creek Trail last week. Didn't see any bear, but it doesn't mean they aren't up there. A deer took a stroll right out in the path and hung around awhile, so like the rest of the park, there are deer almost all over the place.

As we were leaving, we stopped at the picnic area, where we were told by a young lady that she had just come almost face to face with a bear about 100 yards upstream, and the bear was headed toward the picnic area. We hung around awhile but didn't see it.

We drive Greenbrier on almost every trip to the Smokies and have never seen any deer or bear.
