Restaurant suggestions near Greensboro Coliseum

Coming in for the Taylor Swift concert and would like a nice meal before hand. Any suggestions? Must be kid friendly and not too far from the coliseum. Thanks!

Not a particularly good location for restaurants. Two kid friendly casual places on High Point Road are Stamey's Barbecue and Ghasson's (Lebanese).

There are a number of decent options within 2 miles or so (~10-15 minutes' drive) of the Coliseum.

I'd recommend considering Harper's at Friendly Center-the food is quite good and reasonably priced. There are also a number of serviceable upscale-casual chain restaurants located at Friendly Center as well, e.g., PF Chang's and Macaroni Grill.

If you're in the mood for something a little more on the eclectic or tavern side of things, you might consider dining at Sticks & Stones Clay Oven Pizzeria or Lindley Park Filling Station. Both restaurants are over in the UNCG area but are still fairly close to the coliseum-roughly a mile or so away.

A short walk (maybe two blocks) from the Coliseum and you'll find Bianca's at the corner of Spring Garden and Coliseum Blvd.

1. It's our favorite "local" place.

2. Food will be really good and the prices are very reasonable.

3. Not the typical place for kids, but I've seen kids there many times.

It's a bit unusual in that you order your entree and drink of choice, and everyone gets the same appetizer, salad, bread and desert as part of the meal.

In some 15 (or more) years, we've never been disappointed.

Arrive and park early at the coliseum to get a good spot, and beat the normally heavy traffic, then walk over to the restaurant for a relaxing dinner before the concert. And DO make reservations because this place does fill up when there are events at the coliseum...
