Hi,

How is the best way to get from Chowara Beach Village to Kanyakumari? Is it possible to use the bus service? Or how much should we expect to pay for a typical taxi fare between the Chowara Beach Village and the Cape Comorin?

Hi...

Yes... You can use the bus services. Just that you need to check the nearest bus station, but to have a seat, I feel, you need to reach the Trivandrum Bus Stand or the originating place of the bus. In case of a taxi, you can negotiate for a day tour, covering all the important places enroute and drop back. This should cost a day's rent for you, which should be anywhere between INR 1500 to INR 2500 depending on the class of the car you prefer.

Thank You.

We have a reservation in hotel Singaar International. Our desire is to see the sunset and sunrise in Cape Comorin :) Is there an option to book a oneway taxi from Chowara Beach Village to Kanyakumari.

Why not..? You can opt for a drop off, but they would charge you for the empty return also.

Is the sunset really spectacular? We're staying at Kovalam & planning a trip down to Kanyakumari - just don't want to be disappointed after going all the way.

Is it worth doing a day trip from Kovalam? What would the driving time be by hired car?

Thanks in advance!

Kovalam to Kanyakumari can take upto 3 hrs by a car. You need not have to check into any hotel. There are view points which are open for public and free. You would see the boards announcing the directions near the temple. But, to view the sunrise you would need to stay overnight in Kanyakumari, as this will happen between 545 and 615 hrs.
