Hi guys - planning a trip to the "South" in November 2008. I'd like to include N.O. Has it recovered since Katrina to still figure on the American "must-see's" What will the weather be like in November?
The touristy areas were barely affected by Katrina and were among the first to be up and running. In fact, many visitors to the French Quarter can barely tell a difference from before and after the storm.
It's only when you travel outside the tourist sector where you can see the devastation that still remains. While New Orleans still has a long way to go in terms of recovery, all the tourist/must-see areas are fine and just as they were before Katrina.
November weather is beautiful and is one of the best months in which to visit New Orleans. Mild and cool temperatures - very pleasant!

You must go! The more tourists that go, the more jobs are created, the quicker the city will recover.
I was there just over aw eek ago and I'd go back tomorrow.
Do a quick search in the forum as this question has been asked a lot. The tourist areas have recovered. in fact if you confine yourself to the FQ you wan't see any affect except for the katrina T-Shirts being sold.
