Does anyone know where the Diamond Lounge is in the Casino?

I don't remember the exact location, but the casino isn't that big. I can tell you, I'm used to the diamond lounge in Harrahs, in AC, and this is nothing like the lounge there. In AC there is a buffet and the drinks. In New Orleans, we found cheese and crackers and the drinks only. If that's all you are looking for it's fine, otherwise, if you were thinking of a quick bite to eat there, forget it, nothing there. Enjoy.

The Diamond lounge is in the doors next to VIP Services in the High Limit area.

Be forewarned, the Diamond Lounge in Harrahs New Orleans is nothing like the DL's in AC. There is cheese/crackers, after 7pm they put out fried shrimp or some other tidbit, but no food. The only good thing is the bar. The DL is also very small with about 8 tables. & 5 or 6 bar stools.

I went there once & didn't waste my time any other time.

As a harrah's regularm I can tell you that the diamond lounge in NO is nothing compared to Las Vegas, which is nothing compared to Atlantic City. I walked in and walked out. Same as Billharley. I guess we must be spoiled in AC

Having been to both Harrah's AC and Harrahs New Orleans, I personally think the Harrahs New Orleans is more exciting and way more lively than AC. They are about the same in square footage of the casino, New Orleans at 115,000 sq feet and AC at 112,000.

Harrah's New Orleans Masquerade lounge is really nicely done, have not seen anything like it at Harrahs AC, nor is that property themed in any way like New Orlean's Harrahs. Harrah's New Orleans has a second line Jazz band going throughout the place about every hour, it's truly unique and fun.

I suspect the Diamond Lounge in NO is not as necessary as it is in AC because of the location of the casinos respectively. Harrahs AC is away from the boardwalk, with nothing else around it. Harrah's New Orleans is at the door step of the French Quarter, and literally surrounded with restaurants, brew houses and hotels that are partnered with Harrah's New Orleans where a diamond player would comp it.

While we loved our stay in Harrahs New Orleans, we were concerned about the pay out of the slots. When cashing out of a slot, as sometimes happens, the machine didn't spit out a TITO, but said that it was a hand pay (for $7.50) when the slot attendant came to our rescue, we got to chatting, DW asked her what the normal hand pay amount in NOLA was, we were surprised that she didn't know & said she will ask her supervisor, when the supervisor showed up on the scene, he didn't know either & said "Nobody ever asked that question before" he then called his supervisor who told him it was $1000.00.

I'm not concerned about the amount that is the hand pay, but that nobody knew the amount & that tells me THERE AREN'T MANY HANDPAYS IN HARRAHS NEW ORLEAND!

I think the reason the diamond lounge is not as nice anywhere else, as it is in AC, is strictly business. AC is a gambling town. The people there aren't tourists, going to spend a couple of hours in a casino. If you go to AC, you go to gamble, period. They are going to put out more for the serious gamblers. They're probably not getting the heavy duty players there, but more in the way of tourists, stopping in. I'm not saying there aren't gamblers in New orleans, but I don't think that's where they are getting most of their players.

Mittmott, those casual players are not diammond; all the more reason to take care of the real players.

I know , but I have found that I've been to quite a few harrahs properties around the country and no one else but AC seems to have nice diamond clubs, and I honestly believe they market the clubs (it costs them money after all), on the type of players in the area, and AC, is strictly gambling, and they are catering to that crowd. Even in Vegas, the diamond club is no big deal.

I feel that the Diamond club in NO should be made better, after all, the longest lines I've seen in NO are for Platinum, which tells me there are far less Diamond players there.

Being that they don't offer cash back (at least on the kiosks) they should have something to offer the diamond players.

I do get many offers for slot play, but no cash back....what's that all about?

I have the feeling they aren't too interested in their diamond players there at all. We get offers all the time, and we have been to the new hotel a few times, and love it, but, I've noticed that my offers as diamond have gone down, they were better as platinum. When I was platinum, I got 4 free nights at their hotel. Now, I only get 3 nights, and they try to pawn off no weekends, and they try to put me in their partner hotels. It's kept me from going back this year. I don't have a host, but if I call a host, I wind up in the main hotel, but it would be nice to get the offers I got as a platinum. I still think that this particular harrahs makes it's money from tourists, and a few serious gamblers,so they cater to the tourist crowd, trying to bring them in. They must figure their serious gamblers will go to their other properties. Who knows?, it is a shame though, I agree with that.
